
Frank Hanraets
Vice President, Commercial
Frank Hanraets is vice president commercial for MEGlobal International FZE, located at the company’s headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. MEGlobal is a 50:50 joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.
In his role, Hanraets is responsible for the management of a commercial organization of more 40 people around the world in locations as diverse as the United States, China, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Switzerland.
Hanraets, a Dutch native, joined MEGlobal at the company’s inception in 2004 after spending more than 20 years with Dow in Europe. During his Dow tenure, he held a wide variety of roles within the Hydrocarbons business, most recently as regional commercial manager for Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol (EO-EG) and marketing director of Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG) and global higher glycols. Prior to joining Dow, Hanraets served as an oil, barge and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) trader. During his career, Hanraets has held roles in six countries including The Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Switzerland.
