Linda Freisler
General Counsel
Linda Freisler serves as general counsel for MEGlobal International FZE, located at the company's headquarters in Dubai. MEGlobal is a 50:50 joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.
Prior to joining MEGlobal, Linda served as legal counsel for Dow Europe, responsible for Central and Eastern Europe.
Linda joined Dow in Germany as in-house counsel in 1989 after having worked as an attorney at the German law firms of Meineke & Seibt and Boden Oppenhof. In 1992 she was named German Manufacturing Counsel, and in 1994 relocated to Horgen, Switzerland as regional counsel for Middle East/Africa/Eastern Europe . Linda transferred to Midland, Michigan in 1998, joining the Specialty Chemicals business, and was later named managing counsel of Chemicals and Performance Chemicals. In 2003 Linda was named managing counsel for Advanced Electronic Materials, Information Systems and eCommerce. In 2004 she transferred to Schwalbach, Germany with Dow and was named to her most recent role as regional counsel for Central and Eastern Europe & Near East.
Linda holds both a bachelors and doctorate in Law from the University of Freiburg, Germany and also holds an LL.M. from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She is a member of the German, New York and Michigan Bars.
