Ellis Bird Farm
MEGlobal is a major sponsor of the Ellis Bird Farm, a working farm and a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows and other native cavity-nesting birds. The Farm is located opposite to our Prentiss manufacturing site in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. During the summer months, the Ellis Bird Farm is open to visitors to walk the trails and beautiful gardens, and discover the world’s largest outdoor collection of bluebird nest boxes. Banff Hybrid Bus
MEGlobal sponsors one of the all-hybrid electric bus fleet in the town of Banff. Wrapped in Banff National Park wildlife images, the bio-diesel electric buses entered public use in June 2008. Banff is North America’s first known municipality to have an entire public transit fleet of hybrid vehicles, which are expected to reduce fuel consumption by around 30 percent and produce less emissions. MEGlobal has a special connection to the city of Banff, having held its first global employee conference here in 2007. For more information: www.banff.ca
