One of Only 30 Facilities Honored

MEGlobal is one of only 30 facilities in Alberta, Canada honored as EnviroVista Leaders in recognition of outstanding performance that exceeds the expectations of the province’s environmental legislation and demonstrates responsibility, stewardship and an ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance.

Named Leader Three Straight Years

For the third consecutive year, the Alberta government named MEGlobal's Prentiss Operations an EnviroVista Leader during the province's Environmental Week (June 1-7, 2008). In addition, MEGlobal's Fort Saskatchewan operations played a key role in helping Dow Chemical Canada once again achieve the same designation in Fort Saskatchewan.

About the EnviroVista Program

The EnviroVista program officially recognizes Alberta facilities that have demonstrated a minimum of five years of exemplary emissions performance and a comprehensive, publicly-accessible, third-party audited environmental management system, and have operated five years prosecution-free under Alberta’s Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA). All facilities with a licensed approval under the EPEA are eligible for the program. Program participants are required to maintain or further improve their performance to annually renew their EnviroVista leader status.
