Abdullah Al Swailem

Vice President Administration

Abdullah Al Swailem is the VP Administration for MEGlobal International FZE, and is located at the MEGlobal headquarters in Dubai. MEGlobal is a 50:50 joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.

Before joining MEGlobal, Abdullah had 27 years of process plant operation experience in Ammonia, Urea and Utilities (Fertilizer Plants) at Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC). He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University in the US. At PIC, Abdullah held several positions in the management team and led many projects. He became the Operation Manager in January 2004 and was seconded to the Equipolymers joint venture of Dow PIC in July 2007.

He has been honoured to chair many Committees such as PSM, Hazop, Plant Turnarounds, Energy Optimization, Managers and Plant problem committees. He also was a Board member for Equipolymers BV since November 2004 until he joined the business as Manufacturing Director of Equipolymers. Abdullah is a Kuwaiti citizen who is now holding the VP Administration position for MEGlobal since Feb. 2010.
