Ramesh Ramachandran

President & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ramesh Ramachandran is the president and chief executive officer of MEGlobal International FZE, located at the company’s headquarters in Dubai. MEGlobal is a 50:50 joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.

MEGlobal is a $4 Billion Company engaged in the manufacture, marketing and trading of mono and diethylene glycol which are used in the fabric, polyester, PET bottles, antifreeze and construction markets.

Prior to joining MEGlobal, Ramachandran served as president and chief executive officer of Dow Chemical International Pvt. Ltd. (Dow India), located at the company headquarters in Mumbai, India.

A chemical engineer by training, Ramachandran earned his doctorate in surface and colloid chemistry from Columbia University, New York and an MBA from Rutgers University, New Jersey. He has spent his entire 25 year career in the chemical industry which included roles as Director of Hydrocarbons in North America, President of Dow Canada and Head of the Strategic Planning Group of The Dow Chemical Company.

Ramachandran is the recipient of multiple awards in recognition of his business contributions. He holds several publications and patents to his credit.
