MEGlobal is a world leader in the manufacture, supply and marketing of merchant monoethylene glycol (MEG) and diethylene glycol (DEG), collectively known as ethylene glycol (EG), MEGlobal knows everything about EG.
- EG is a key raw material used in a wide variety of products and applications including the manufacture of polyester fibers, polyethylene terephthalate resins (PET), antifreeze formulations and other industrial products
Our Manufacturing Capacity
MEGlobal manufactures more than 1.0 million metric tonnes of EG per year at its three manufacturing plants in Alberta, Canada.
- Fort Saskatchewan: Nameplate capacity 380 metric tonnes per annum
- Prentiss I, Red Deer: Nameplate capacity 320 metric tonnes per annum
- Prentiss II*, Red Deer: Nameplate capacity 278 metric tonnes per annum
Our Global Supply
In addition to production, MEGlobal is the largest transporter of EG in the world, marketing in excess of 3.5 million metric tonnes from its world-leading supply partners.

Established in 2004, MEGlobal is a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) of the United States and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait
