  In 2018, MEGlobal Americas Inc. made a $1 million contribution to the Brazosport College Foundation to support students seeking to enroll in dual-credit courses at Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Texas, USA. The contribution builds on MEGlobal’s commitment to sustainability and community success, supporting the educational dreams of local students and the workforce of tomorrow.

   

  As a result of this investment, up to approximately 160 Brazosport Independent School District students per year will be able to enroll in dual-credit courses each academic year at Brazosport College, beginning in 2020.
  This gift from MEGlobal provides a sustainable stream of scholarship funds for perpetuity – and also provides an opportunity and the ability for the endowment to grow.

   

  Ellis Bird Farm

   

  

   

  MEGlobal is a major sponsor of the Ellis Bird Farm, a working farm and a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows and other native cavity-nesting birds. The Farm is located opposite to our Prentiss manufacturing site in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. During the summer months, the Ellis Bird Farm is open to visitors to walk the trails and beautiful gardens, and discover the world’s largest outdoor collection of bluebird nest boxes.   MEGlobal Athletic Park

   

  

   

  MEGlobal has been proud to support the Lacombe Athletic Park Association since 2010, when the stadium and associated facilities were named MEGlobal Athletic Park. In 2018, MEGlobal donated an additional $2 million to enable the park to expand its field house and spectator facilities to make them larger and more accessible for athletes, fans, spectators and other park users. MEGlobal Athletic Park averages more than 50,000 hours of use annually for sports including football, lacrosse, rugby, basketball and pickleball. It is also home to concerts and other community events, providing a source of economic revenue for the community while promoting outdoor fun and fitness.  

   

  The North West Mounted Police Fort Saskatchewan

   

  

   

  Putting the “Fort” in Fort Saskatchewan
  The North West Mounted Police Fort Saskatchewan was in operation on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River from 1875 to 1885. Although the original Fort was taken down, the community’s name “stuck” throughout history, and it seemed to be a missing piece in Fort Saskatchewan’s identity. The City of Fort Saskatchewan struck a plan to restore a representation of the Fort and in 2011, MEGlobal made a multi-year funding commitment to the project that has become a source of local pride as well as wider tourist attraction.
