MEGlobal contributes over $60,000 to United Way Alberta Capital Region
FORT SASKATCHEWAN, AB – MEGlobal Canada ULC employees in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. raised nearly $61,000 to support United Way of the Alberta Capital Region and other local charities working hard to meet growing needs across the community.
The 2021 campaign included $27,022 in employee contributions, $27,022 in matching funds from MEGlobal and $6,898 raised in special events for a total of $60.942.
“We are incredibly moved and grateful for the support and generosity of MEGlobal and its employees,” says Rob Yager, President & CEO of United Way of the Alberta Capital Region. “With the help of caring donors like these, we can continue to be there for the most vulnerable as we recover and rebuild, support the well-being and success of our entire community. United, we make the biggest impact and ensure no one is left behind.”
MEGlobal campaign leader Nicole Moverly said the generosity of employees was inspiriing.
“This year our communities had to continue to focus on meeting the many demands created by COVID but the MEGlobal Fort Saskatchewan team stepped up in a big way,” she said. “Our employees understand how close to home the fight against poverty really is and how important it is to support organizations like United Way. Every dollar truly makes a difference to individuals and families depending on the member agencies.”
Overall, MEGlobal employees and their corporate offices in North America will give more than $235,000 to the United Ways of Central Alberta, the Alberta Capital Region, Brazoria County, TX and Greater Houston, TX.
