Our Responsible Care® Commitments
We are enthusiastic about meeting the ethics, policies and codes of practice of
Responsible Care®, a voluntary initiative within the global chemical industry that promotes the safe handling of products from development, through manufacture and distribution, to disposal. To remain members of Responsible Care, companies must be re-verified every three years. We are proud to announce that MEGlobal was re-verified in November 2010.
Originating in Canada in 1987, Responsible Care has been adopted by more than 50 companies around the world. On September 1, 2004, MEGlobal signed the Responsible Care Charter through the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) and was verified as a Responsible Care company in 2007 and again in 2010. Details can be reviewed in the Responsible Care-in-Place Verification 2007 report and in the 2010 report.
Dedicated to Environment, Health and Safety
Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) is our number one priority. We believe that all injuries, occupational illnesses, loss incidents and environmental incidents are preventable. We are a Target Zero company with a vision of Zero Incidents, Zero Injuries and Zero Harm to the Environment, and are committed to full compliance with all EH&S requirements of The Dow Chemical Company, Petrochemical Industries Company of Kuwait (PIC) or the legal requirements of the locations in which we operate, whichever are more stringent.
