SUGARLAND AND OYSTER CREEK, TX — MEGlobal Americas Inc. (MEGlobal) reached a new all-time high in generosity, with a total of $89,289.88 raised in its 2025 United Way Employee Charities Campaign. This eclipsed the previous record of $81,000 set in 2024. The campaign also exceeded its goal of 90% participation, with a 92% participation rate.
The 2025 soccer-themed campaign “Shoot for Change, Score for Good” exemplified MEGlobal’s spirit of giving, bringing employees together through events, competitions and contributions making a tangible impact in the community.
Employee donations totaled $37,664.88, showcasing the generosity of MEGlobal’s workforce. Special fundraising events throughout the campaign added $17,685, including $10,500 in the silent auction. The proceeds of that event went to employee-selected charities, the Pregnancy Help Center and Fort Bend Women’s Center. The Oyster Creek team won this year’s Trivia Contest, adding another $1,000 to the total, and a raffle during the turnaround resulted in an additional $3,940. MEGlobal topped it all off with a $30,000 corporate contribution as part of the company’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it does business.

In addition to giving financially, MEGlobal employees volunteered their time at the Brazosport Cares Food Pantry, Brazoria County Dream Center, and Fort Bend Women’s Center during the annual Day of Caring events.
Campaign Chair Catrina Thomas thanked the all-star committee that helped put on this year’s events: Monica Jones, Shelley Bielamowicz, Dan Trinh, Judy Courts, Trish Thompson, Anthony Noyes, Brenda Navarro and Michelle Boldon.
“We weren’t sure what to expect, with a challenging economy, but as always MEGlobal employees stepped up, recognizing that the need is bigger than ever,” said Thomas. “We are super proud of all the effort that goes into this campaign and the incredible impact it has on organizations and people in our communities.”
The funds raised will support the United Way’s mission to improve lives by mobilizing community resources to address pressing issues such as education, health, and financial stability.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s campaign.
