GALVESTON, TX – MEGlobal Americas Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the EQUATE Group, received four state safety awards including the prestigious 2023 Caring for Texas Award for the performance of its Oyster Creek, Texas site.
Presented by the Texas Chemical Council (TCC) and the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT), the Caring for Texas award recognizes exceptional safety performance and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement in safety, community involvement, emergency response, security, and environmental stewardship.
MEGlobal also received the 2023 Dr. Sam Mannan Award for zero process safety incidents, as well as a Zero Incident Rate – Employees award and Zero Incident Rate – Contractor award.
“Winning a Caring for Texas award requires focus, dedication and teamwork, and winning four just goes to show what outstanding work that the Oyster Creek Site has been doing to help ensure we are keeping our people and communities safe,” said U.S. Regional Operations Director Scott Daigle. “We will continue to make safety our first priority in everything we do.”
The Oyster Creek Site started operations in September 2019 and has recorded zero reportable personal injuries or illnesses since.
