MEGlobal Ft. Saskatchewan raises over $60,000 for United Way
FT. SASKATCHEWAN – On Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 the MEGlobal Ft. Saskatchewan United Way Campaign Committee announced MEGlobal raised more than $60,000 for the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region in the site’s 2019 campaign.
In addition to personal contributions through payroll deductions, MEGlobal employees in Ft. Saskatchewan also held several special events to raise funds to support this year’s campaign including a pancake breakfast, game day and even a pie-throwing contest.
MEGlobal Canada ULC matched the $30,170.77 raised by employees for a total contribution of $60,341.54.
MEGlobal Ft. Saskatchewan Campaign Chair Nicole Moverley said more than three quarters of site employees participated in the campaign and had a great time for a good cause.
“MEGlobal has partnered with United Way since our inception in 2004 and we are very proud to continue our tradition of giving with an outstanding campaign this year,” she said. “Our employees are so generous and it makes all of us feel good to know that our dollars are going to help meet critical needs in our communities.”
United Way Capital Region Account Manager Renée Chan said MEGlobal is one of the leading corporate contributors in the area and their support is greatly appreciated. “Last year alone, thanks to the generous support of United Way donors like MEGlobal, over 276,000 people got the support they need to help change their lives,” said Chan. “Every donation makes a huge difference and we want to thank the MEGlobal employees who love their community and want to make it great for everyone.”
MEGlobal Canada contributed a total more than $215,000 to United Ways in Central Alberta and the Capital Region in 2019.
