MEGlobal Oyster Creek Honored for Outstanding 2025 Safety Performance

GALVESTON, TX – MEGlobal Americas Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the EQUATE Group, was once again recognized for its exceptional safety performance, receiving four 2025 state safety awards—including the prestigious Caring for Texas Award—for its Oyster Creek, Texas facility.

Presented by the Texas Chemical Council (TCC) and the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT), the Caring for Texas Awards celebrate companies that demonstrate exemplary safety practices, strong community engagement, emergency preparedness, site security, and environmental responsibility.

In addition to the Caring for Texas Award, MEGlobal Oyster Creek was recognized for achieving a Zero Incident Rate for both employees and contractors—an indicator of the site’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence and workplace safety. The site was also awarded the Dr. Sam Mannan Award for having zero process safety incidents.

“Earning these awards year after year is a testament to the consistent dedication, focus and teamwork of the entire Oyster Creek team,” said Scott Daigle, U.S. Regional Operations Director. “I’m proud of what this team continues to accomplish.”

Since beginning operations in September 2019, the MEGlobal Oyster Creek Site has maintained an impressive safety record, with no reportable personal injuries or illnesses recorded to date.
